Uranus and Pluto have received a lot of air time since 2012 when they began to form their lengthy square that is currently fading into history. The impact of this square, which has shaken up countless peoples’ lives, has been impossible to ignore.
For many, looking back to life pre 2012 is like watching a different person, barely recognisable in some cases. So much has changed, within and without, that the notion of total rebirth is not too drastic a description of the events of recent years. Many people have been shaken awake by this square, forced to confront themselves and their lives, the consequences of choices previously made and the impact of living a half-life in the shadows of possibility for so long. It has been a time of both trauma and ecstasy, challenge and liberation. Few have been left untouched. The initiation into the Aquarian Age has well and truly begun.

This month’s astrology has the feel of Fresher’s Week at university, when arriving students are oriented to their new life. Choices abound and the air is heavy with potential and possibility. Excitement is everywhere, fuelled by a new-found freedom alongside anxiety, homesickness and sometimes a hefty dose of fear. We are those students and life the university.
Last month’s solar eclipse on 20th reshaped our future by shutting off paths not chosen and potential not realised, not as punishment for our not grasping the nettle but because life itself must move in cycles of becoming, fulfilment and demise, whether or not we join in. What was once an option becomes out of reach, hopes not yet fulfilled begin to fade, potential once vibrant becomes jaded. Last month saw an unequivocal completion of a cycle begun in 1997.

The eclipse occurs in totality just after midday GMT in 15th degree of Libra. As partner to the solar eclipse on 20th March which called time on paths not chosen, this lunar eclipse requests expressed commitment to our goals in this new creative cycle.
Alongside this commitment it asks also for originality and fresh perspectives, for it is just such endeavours to be blessed in the coming years. The last frontier of humanity is not the evolution of technology, but it is the evolution into Higher Consciousness. The projected world outside is the mirror image of the world inside. Every relationship becomes a tool for the evolvement of Higher Consciousness.
To become fully conscious of the true self, we need to understand that every single human being that comes into our space is a true reflection of us. If the person shows beauty, grace and wisdom, they are truly reflecting us, if they show greed, selfishness, or cruelty; they are also truly reflecting us. We live our lives denying our dark side.

This total solar eclipse occurs at 9:47 a.m. GMT on 20th March in the final degree of the zodiac. An eclipse here speaks of completion on a grand scale. Things within reach that we failed to grasp disappear; opportunities postponed for a ‘better time’ dissolve; riches hoarded lose their worth. This degree of the zodiac brings to a close great cycles of time and change, major life themes and patterns.
An eclipse here reminds us the cosmos has its own timetable, weaving its design through our lives with or without our consent. We are faced with the choice to synchronise our timepiece of the heart with that of the heavens or occupy our own time zone – sometimes in synch, sometimes way out of it, struggling to impose our own schedule upon the unfolding of sacred creation. The endings we face now, be they losses, disappointments or liberating closure, remind us of the need for deep and abiding alignment with the god-force from here on in, as it threads its way through our lives.
